Shaw, Thomas
Biography
Thomas, violoncello, was a student at Curtis from 1980-1987. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Stetson University and a Masters of Music degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton. At the Oberlin Conservatory, he studied with Richard Kapuscinski and later pursued his advanced studies in New Haven with Aldo Parisot. During the 1982 Villa-Lobos International Violoncello Competition in Rio de Janeiro, Mr. Shaw participated as a member of the jury. As a founding member, he has served as cellist of the Audubon Quartet since 1974.
