Farnam "book business", 1948-1951
Correspondence concerning Greene's attempts to have somebody else finish the book due to a breakdown. The majority consists of handwritten drafts of correspondence to Ernest White and Shippen Barnes. Additional correspondents include Hugh Porter, Arline Farnam Hall, and Joe. W. Coutret.
Correspondence
Greene arranged for transcripts of a number of Farnam's notebooks and diaries, as well as some correspondence and newspaper clippings. The majority of these transcripts were typed with numbered pages (8-240). In addition to diaries found in Series 2.2, the transcripts include diaries for 1909-1911, and 1922 for which the originals are missing. The majority of the transcripts were divided among Greene's materials and notes for individual chapters.
