Philip Frank studied violin with Lacy Coe, Leopold Auer, and Eddy Brown before his acceptance to Curtis as a student of Efrem Zimbalist from 1929-1934. Later in his career Frank was a member of the NBC Symphony under Arturo Toscanini and concertmaster of the North York Symphony Orchestra until his retirement in 1990.
