Biographical / Historical
The Manning, Bowman and Co. (1849-1945) was formed in Meriden, Connecticut, and over the years produced granite iron and pearl agate ware, electro-silver and nickel-plated ware, britannia and planished goods. The HOTAKOLD glass insulated carafe, patented in 1909, was intended for serving coffee or water, and was likely used at Curtis during the 1950s.
