Biography
A former critic for The New York Herald Tribune and New York magazine, John Gruen wrote about music, art, dance and theater. Gruen was the author of more than a dozen books, including The Private World of Leonard Bernstein, Menotti, and his autobiography, Callas Kissed Me … Lenny Too! A Critic’s Memoir.
