Biography

Gordon Almstead (October 8, 1921 - Dec 6 1997) was a singer, educator and World War II Marine. Studying with Gian-Carlo Menotti, he graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music in the class of 1949 and Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. He taught at the Philadelphia Musical Academy and joined the OWU Faculty in 1951.
