Biography
Allen was a well-known Philadelphia portrait painter active from the 1920s to the 1970s. She created hundreds of paintings of famous Philadelphia figures, including Philadelphia Orchestra conductor Eugene Ormandy and Orphans Court Judge Charles Sinkler.
